Stamp On Tulsidas

The stamp on Tulsidas is the second of the four commemorative stamps in the saints and poets series issued together by the Department of Posts on 1 October 1952. The stamp is in the denomination of one anna (1A); of carmine colour,- watermark multistar; perf. 14. It was printed in the India Security Press, Nasik which was set up in 1925.
Tulsidas was a saint, poet, philosopher, scholar and a humanist, all rolled into one. His Ram Charit Manas and other works have influenced the social and spiritual life of the Hindi-speaking people for generations.
