Arundhathi Krishnan has been learning Carnatic vocal music from the age of 7. She is undergoing advanced training in manodharma, pallavi singing and other nuances from her aunt Deva Gana Varshini. Soundaram Krishnan, AIR A Grade artist, Chennai, and has been under her tutelage for over 12 years. She was also being mentored by Sangeetha Kala Acharya Prof. T R Subramaniam.

Arundhathi is a regular performer in all the major sabhas. Arundhathi is pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics at IIT Madras. She is a recipient of the NBHM Masters scholarship (2011-12) and the NCERT NTSE scholarship (2005-2011). She has completed a Senior Diploma (exam conducted by the Karnataka government) in Carnatic Music, a Junior Diploma (exam conducted by Prayag University, Allahabad) in Hindustani Music.
